Welcome to Schuyler School!

Schuyler School is a Prek-6 school educating approximately 540 students. Our goal is to help each child build the foundational skills for college and career readiness. We strive to prepare our students with the 21st century skills needed to become productive citizens. We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, positive environment and challenging programs to help each child grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Academically our students are challenged daily with a rigorous curriculum. We implement programs aligned with the common core standards and use various forms of data to track students’ progress and evaluate our instruction. We offer several programs to address individual needs such as special education, speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy, gifted and talented, English language learner instruction, and academic support instruction. All of our classrooms are equipped with interactive smart boards and a laptop technology center as well as two full computer labs allowing for more technology integration into our lessons. Emotionally and socially we address each child’s needs as well. We are fortunate to have a full time school counselor who maintains open lines of communication with students and parents. We emphasis respect throughout the year and enforce the guidelines of the anti-bullying law to maintain a kind, supportive school climate. To grow socially we encourage our students to pursue their own special areas of interest through many extra curricular activities such as band, chorus, drama club, art club, book club, spelling bees, charity events, and various contests. We also have a very active PTA who organizes many activities and events throughout the year to help our students. Schuyler School is embracing the many changes in education. We have an amazing dedicated staff that is committed to the growth of our students. We work hard to encourage home-school communication, develop self-confidence, responsibility, and respect in our students, and build the foundation for life-long learners!
